The Island

Medhufushi Island Resort is one of the most modern resorts in the Maldives, just simply stunning. Medhufushi is designed in a traditional Maldives style and lays in the south of the Maldives in Meemu Atoll.
 
With a superb range of facilities, all run with supreme efficiency. The island is fringed by a perfect white sand beach and aquamarine lagoon, and covered in tall palm trees. The natural style is reflected in the use of local materials including thatch and timber in the villas and public buildings.

The Food

Medhufushi is famous for its exquisite range of culinary delights offered in the Malaafaiy Restaurant which can be described as unpretentious, diverse and creative. Located beside the pool and overlooking the magnificent turquoise lagoon. Your culinary journey around the globe features international and Asian cuisine, a Sashimi/Sushi counter, complemented by a New World wine list.

Located over the water, the Alfresco Restaurant features a wide range of à la carte specialties in an open-air setting which will allow you to enjoy the soothing tropical breeze whilst listening to the calming rhythm of the waves. Enjoy sensational cocktails and an impressive New World wine list.

In the casual setting of the Vilu Bar enjoy tropical cocktails, freshly blended juices and spirits with a magnificent view of the island and the lagoon.  The Vilu Bar is the perfect venue for an aperitif or a nightcap at the end of another day in paradise.

The Diving

The Medhufushi Dive center is situated right in front of the Arrival jetty. And is the best place to try a dive for a one time experience without a certification out on a boat or you can join the Introduction dive held in the Lagoon twice every week to try and if you wish to learn the sport of scuba diving to be certified as an Open Water Diver.

It’s possible to get either an SSI open water diver certification or a PADI open water diver certification and the other levels of diving certifications. The Standard open water course takes place in the home lagoon for the first five dives and a boat dive as a last dive of the course and yet this may vary depending on whether it a SSI or a PADI.

For Certified Diver there are Boat dives every morning departing from Medhufushi at 09:00 am after enjoying a pleasant Breakfast and be back on time to have a relaxing lunch break. The afternoon Boat dive departs at 14:30pm and Returns late afternoon with enough time to freshen up enjoy the sunset either in the bar or on the beach.
The early morning dives , Night dives, two tank trips and full day trips are offered at least once or twice a week and if you have anything more you are always welcome to have a chat about what you would like to have with the dive center staff.
